Desopadec Md Ochonogor: Extension is a Vote of Confidence for greater service delivery
The Managing Director of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, Chief Festus Ochonogor, has described the one-year tenure extension granted to the current Board as a renewed mandate for greater service delivery in the oil-producing communities.
Speaking at the Board meeting in Warri, Chief Ochonogor said the extension by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is a vote of confidence in DESOPADEC’s commitment to impactful projects.
“This extension gives us room to redouble our efforts and consolidate on the achievements already recorded under the MORE Agenda.
Our focus remains on people-oriented projects that directly improve lives,” he stated.
The MD disclosed that the Board has concluded plans to begin comprehensive commissioning of completed projects across all mandate areas.
The exercise will showcase the harvest of development already impacting various communities.
Chief Ochonogor reaffirmed the Board’s total loyalty to Governor Oborevwori, noting that the Governor’s vision for equitable development, peace, and prosperity has created the enabling environment for DESOPADEC to deliver tangible dividends of democracy.
The Board also restated its commitment to the MORE Agenda and continuity in 2027.
