The Managing Director of DESOPADEC, Chief Festus M. Ochonogor on January 30, 2025, attended the inauguration ceremony of the Ndokwa west local Government People’s Democratic Party Wards College of Youth Leaders held at the council’s secretariat in Utagba ogbe.
While addressing the youths on the choice of name for the initiative,the pragmatic leader noted that it was meant to serve as a training ground for the leaders of tomorrow. He enjoined all participants to be intentional about the process, embracing all opportunities as they unfold.
Furthermore, the MD enjoined all leaders of the party at various wards in the LGA to be supportive, ensuring that the initiative serves its purpose of promoting the party and maintaining its long standing dominance and good reputation.
Other speakers in the ceremony also lent their voice in support of the MD and promised to ensure its sustainability in the local government.
The state Coordinator of the Delta North College of Youths, Hon. Asiwe Emeke who was in awe on the show of oneness by the party leadership in the local government, enjoined them to keep up the pace as it was the needed push to keep the party’s flag flying. To the youths, he admonished them to stay put to the ideologies of the party. He noted the need for them to join in the leadership responsibilities of enlarging the party’s coverage and membership.
At the climax of the ceremony, the youths and leaders of Ndokwa west LGA, passed a vote of confidence on the Delta North leader of the party, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for his good works in keeping the party together.
