The State Director of Protocol, Delta State, Okakuro Sunday Eromedoghone Onoriode, popularly known as Chief Onos, today stormed Udu Local Government Area in a strategic grassroots mobilization drive ahead of the September 19 Bye-Election.
Chief Onos charged groups, political stakeholders and faithful of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Udu to intensify their mobilization efforts and work collectively towards delivering massive votes for the party’s candidate in the forthcoming bye-election.
He emphasized the importance of the election, noting that a resounding victory for the APC would further strengthen and sustain the MORE Agenda of the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, while consolidating the party’s growing strength across Delta Central.
The Director of Protocol was accompanied by notable political mobilizers, including Mr. Collins Leonard, Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor and the brain behind the Soft Nigeria – Is Possible movement, alongside his coordinators; Mr. Ese, DDG, Local Content; members of the Onos Loyalists across the state; as well as members of the Udu Chapter of Onos Loyalists.
Chief Onos commended the organizational structure, discipline and readiness of the Onos Loyalists and other support groups, urging them to take the mobilization campaign beyond meetings by reaching the grassroots.
He specifically charged them to move from house to house, unit to unit and ward to ward, ensuring that the message of the APC and its candidate reaches every eligible voter ahead of the September 19 poll.
According to him, “This bye-election is about visibility, structure and delivery. Udu must demonstrate that the APC is the party to beat in Delta Central.”
The event also featured the official commissioning of a coastal bus and another bus acquired to enhance mobility and strengthen grassroots mobilization efforts for the party and its support structures ahead of the bye-election.
With the growing momentum and renewed commitment of party faithful and support groups, the gathering further underscored the determination of APC stakeholders in Udu to mobilize massively and secure victory at the polls on September 19.
