Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, has expressed confidence in the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring that the President will win again in the 2027 presidential election.
Edu spoke as APC women commenced preparations for the 2027 electoral season with an ambitious target of mobilising 40 million votes for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.
The mobilisation drive is expected to involve coordinated engagement across states, local government areas, wards, communities and polling units, with a strong focus on strengthening the participation and organisation of women at the grassroots.
According to the initiative, the women’s mobilisation is designed to build a broad and coordinated support base for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as the All Progressives Congress (APC) advances its campaign for the 2027 elections.
The mobilisation is also anchored on the Renewed Hope Agenda 2.0: From Reforms to Prosperity, with emphasis on communicating the administration’s policies, reforms and development agenda to communities across the country.
Edu’s declaration reflects the growing efforts within the APC to consolidate its grassroots structures ahead of the 2027 elections, particularly by harnessing the strength and numerical advantage of women voters.
The campaign message is clear: 40 million women votes, one coordinated mobilisation, one mandate and one victory.
The initiative is expected to continue with sustained engagement from the national level down to wards and polling units as APC women work towards achieving the ambitious 40-million-vote target for the Tinubu-Shettima re-election bid.
