Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has received Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, at his residence in Port Harcourt as efforts to consolidate their political reconciliation gather momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
The meeting marks the first reported face-to-face encounter between the two politicians since Fubara announced that he would not seek re-election in 2027. Wike was accompanied by APC governorship candidate Kingsley Chinda and Rainbow Coalition reconciliation committee chairman Magnus Abe, while Fubara attended with former APC Deputy National Chairman Sam Jaja.
