Hon. Barr. Vincent Ofumelu has joined family, friends, political associates and well-wishers in celebrating two distinguished sons of Anambra State, former Governor Chief Willie Obiano and former Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, as they mark their birthday anniversaries.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Ofumelu acknowledged the contributions of Chief Willie Obiano to the development of Anambra State during his tenure as Governor. He noted that his administration recorded significant efforts in areas including security, infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture and community development.
He equally celebrated Senator Chris Ngige for his long-standing contributions to the growth of Anambra State and his service to Nigeria. Hon. Ofumelu particularly highlighted his time as Minister of Labour and Employment, where he contributed to issues concerning workers’ welfare, employment and labour relations.
According to Hon. Ofumelu, the lives and public service of both men represent important chapters in the political and developmental history of Anambra State, describing their experience and contributions as worthy of recognition and celebration.
He prayed that God Almighty will continue to grant them sound health, wisdom, strength and peace, while blessing them with many more fruitful years.
