The Coordinator of the Delta State Chapter of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG), Comr. Amb. Eroghene Prosper Ogagah, has called on Nigerians to remain patient and hopeful, stating that the economic reforms being implemented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are difficult but necessary steps toward rebuilding the nation’s economy and securing a more prosperous future.
Speaking during the maiden press briefing and official unveiling of the Delta State Chapter of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG) in Asaba, Ogagah acknowledged the economic hardships currently facing many Nigerians but maintained that bold reforms such as the removal of fuel subsidy, the unification of the foreign exchange system, the introduction of the Student Loan Scheme, increased investment in infrastructure and energy, and strengthened social intervention programmes are aimed at correcting decades of structural imbalances and placing Nigeria on the path of sustainable growth.
On Delta State, he praised Governor Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori for what he described as focused, practical, and people-oriented leadership under the MORE Agenda. According to him, the administration has continued to deliver impactful projects through ongoing road construction and rehabilitation, flyover projects, strategic infrastructure development, youth empowerment and skills acquisition programmes, as well as community-based development initiatives across the state.
Ogagah also highlighted the successful Delta State Economic and Investment Summit, describing it as a landmark initiative that attracted both local and international investors. He noted that the unveiling of the 100 million US dollar Viability Gap Fund demonstrates the government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment for investment, industrial growth, and massive job creation for the people of Delta State.
The AASG State Coordinator emphasized that while criticism is a vital part of every democracy, it must be constructive and backed by practical alternatives. He challenged critics of the current administrations to present credible solutions and account for their own records whenever they had the opportunity to lead, insisting that genuine progress is driven by vision, responsibility, and decisive action rather than mere commentary.
He explained that the unveiling of the Delta State Chapter of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups represents more than the inauguration of another political support platform. Rather, it signifies a coordinated movement dedicated to grassroots mobilization, civic education, political engagement, and ensuring effective communication between government and the people.
As part of the occasion, Ogagah formally announced the endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Governor Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff F. O. Oborevwori, and all APC candidates in the 2027 General Elections, reaffirming the group’s commitment to strengthening the APC across Delta State and mobilizing support from the grassroots to the national level.
He concluded by urging Nigerians to focus on the nation’s long-term direction rather than the temporary discomfort of reforms, stressing that rebuilding Nigeria requires patience, resilience, unity, and the collective participation of all citizens.
