Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has unveiled an ambitious vision to transform Rivers State into a world-class tourism and investment destination, declaring that if residents cannot always travel to Dubai, Qatar or Spain, the state should build comparable attractions at home.
Speaking during the signing of a tourism Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Government, Governor Fubara said his administration is committed to creating modern infrastructure, promoting tourism, attracting investors, and unlocking Rivers State’s economic potential. He emphasized that the initiative is aimed at generating jobs, boosting internally generated revenue, and positioning Rivers as a preferred destination for business and leisure.
Fubara stressed that with strategic partnerships, prudent investments, and sustained commitment, Rivers State can become a globally competitive destination that offers residents and visitors world-class experiences without leaving Nigeria.
