The Member representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, in his capacity as a Board of Trustee (BOT) Member of Ikolobie Ndokwa, led his entourage to the official inauguration of the Ikolobie Ndokwa Ward Executives across the three LGAs at Ogume, Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State.
In his keynote address, Hon. Ezechi expressed appreciation to the President-General of Ikolobie Ndokwa for his relentless efforts in steering the affairs of the socio-political body. He emphasized the importance of respect for leadership, unity, and commitment to duty, urging the new executives to see their positions as a call to service. Ezechi also called on Ndokwa youths to continually support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, and his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme.
As he reminded the congregation that Governor Sheriff has shown Ndokwa genuine love through the appointment of Hon. Commissioner for Finance, Sir Fidelis Okenmor Tilije; MD/CEO DESOPADEC, Chief Festus Ochonogor; Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, Hon. Commissioner for Primary Education; Engr. Michael Anoka, Honourable Commissioner for Urban Renewal; Surv. Azuka Enebeli; Dr. Chf Olisa Charles; Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon. Ifeanyi Chris Osakwe; Special Advisers – Chief Jeffrey Azagba and Chief Tony Amechi, among other appointed sons and daughters of Ndokwa nation.
Ezechi reminded the youths that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has done a lot of infrastructural projects under two years of his administration and, as such, the Governor must be supported at all costs.
“The essence of Ikolobie Ndokwa is to provide political support and strengthen Ndokwa/Ukwuani’s elected and appointed sons and daughters at the local government, state government, and federal levels. I urge the newly inaugurated executives to uphold respect for authority, remain dedicated to their positions, and actively engage our youths in political participation,” he stated.
The lawmaker charged the ward executives to embark on grassroots sensitization campaigns, particularly encouraging youths aged 18 years and above to secure their Permanent Voter’s Cards (PVCs) as a tool for empowerment and political inclusion.
Empowerment Drive:
The inauguration was not only symbolic but also impactful, as Rt. Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi empowered six members of Ikolobie Ndokwa with ₦200,000 each to support their growth and initiatives. Other empowerment gestures included:
- Three women empowered with ₦100,000 each by Hon. Chief Vincent Osilonya, Executive Chairman of Ndokwa East LGA.
- Nwafor Amach (Mr. Thunder), Chairman of Non-Indigenes, received ₦1,000,000 from Rt. Hon. Ezechi.
- Mrs. Okoh received ₦500,000.
- Mr. Okota from Umusadege received ₦200,000 to strengthen his business.

The event drew notable political leaders, youth mobilizers, and community stakeholders, including Hon. Chief Vincent Osilonya, Engr. Michael Anoka, Hon. Chukwutem Nwogor, Comr. Henry Jnr Emeli, Barr. Hessington Okolo, High Chief Mordi Sylvester (Sunny Edeme), Chief Chris Okuta, Hon. Agbanashi Chinedu Basil, and Hon. Comr. Dickson Shiteje, among others.
The inauguration ended on a high note, with renewed calls for youth political participation, respect for leadership, and sustainable community empowerment across Ndokwa land.
