Nathalie Rose Jones, 50, from Lafayette, Indiana, has been arrested in Washington, D.C., for allegedly plotting to kidnap and assassinate former U.S. President Donald Trump.
Jones, who posted graphic threats on social media, admitted to the Secret Service she would kill Trump “if given the opportunity” before later recanting. She faces federal charges of threatening the president and transmitting interstate threats, each carrying up to five years in prison.
U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro vowed swift prosecution, stressing the gravity of threats against the president.
