The Ndokwa East chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for re-election in the 2027 general elections. This endorsement arose from an extended leaders’ and stakeholders’ unity meeting held in Ushie, Ndokwa East. The meeting was led by the LGA’s maximum leader, Chief Godwill Obielum, alongside the local government party Chairman, Chief Kris Oputa.
The former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Ndokwa East, Rt. Hon. (Dr.) Olisa Imegwu, moved the motion for the endorsement of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori, which was seconded by Hon. Vincent Osilonya, the Executive Chairman of Ndokwa East. The motion was unanimously affirmed by all attendees.

The hardworking LGA party chief, Chief Kris Oputa, emphasized that unity and victory in the 2027 general elections are paramount. He urged the various ward chairmen to liaise with their leaders, exco members, and political office holders to hold meetings in their respective wards. Chief Emmanuel Onyeuku, a member of the State Advisory Council, noted that given the level of projects attracted to Ndokwa East through the state and local government, the APC has no option but to secure victory for its candidates in 2027.
Hon. Commissioner for Primary Education, Dr. Kingsley Nze Ashibogwu, also spoke, urging all elected and appointed office holders and stakeholders in each ward to support their ward chairmen in hosting meetings. He noted that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration has appointed at least four persons per ward across the LGA, so there should be no excuses for not hosting meetings. Hon. Commissioner Dr. Charles Olisa, representing Ndokwa East in the board of Desopadec, expressed confidence that with the current level of unity in Ndokwa East, the APC will sweep the 2027 elections.

The leadership of the council, led by Chief Godwill Obielum, thanked every member for their cooperation in uniting the party and urged everyone to closely follow up on the Renewed Hope/More Agenda initiative of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori to foster development in the LGA. Other members who spoke in the same vein included Hon. Mary Chidi, Mrs. Izi Ann, Chief Tony Ndanenu, and others. With this unity, Ndokwa East will surely be great again!
