The recent claims circulating about Hon. Barr Vincent Ekene Ofumelu allegedly obstructing efforts to work on the Omor-Umerum road are baseless and misleading. In reality, the Ayamelum local government wants to work on a portion of the road, and Hon. Ofumelu is not stopping them. Putting the record straight, the 9.6km Omor-Umerum farm road was awarded in phases to different contractors and Obueri Construction Company, which secured the last contract of 2.5km, wrote and advised the Ayamelum local government Council to start new work from where they stopped to avoid overlapping with their ongoing project.

As a testament to his dedication to Umerum community, Hon. Barr Vincent Ekene Ofumelu, the immediate past house of representatives member for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency Anambra State, has successfully completed about 80% of the 9.6km Omor-Umerum road project. He has also garnered approval for some portion of the road and he is working diligently to see the project through. Hon. Ofumelu welcomes any initiative that can move the project forward and is open to collaborative efforts.
Hon. Ofumelu’s commitment to development is unwavering, and he’s always seeking ways to bring progress to his constituency. His track record speaks for itself, with about 24 projects successfully delivered in the community, transforming lives and improving infrastructure.

It’s time to disregard false narratives and support development efforts for the community. By working together, more projects and initiatives that can improve lives and build a better future will come to place.
Hon. Ofumelu’s love for the people and his commitment to development are evident in his actions. Let’s reject the false claims circulating about his involvement in the Omor-Umerum road project and work together to build a better future for our community.
