Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State was agog on Saturday, September 12, 2026, as the Labour Party candidate for Delta North Senatorial District, Rex Biose, officially launched his senatorial campaign at Issele-Uku, the headquarters of the local government area.
The campaign launch witnessed a large turnout of supporters who trooped out in their numbers to declare their support for Biose, whom they described as a game changer in the political landscape of Delta North.
Addressing the gathering, Biose said he had come to change the political narrative in Delta North and beyond, promising to bring a new dimension to political representation in the district.
He solicited support for the presidential ambition of Mr. Peter Gregory Obi of the NDC, as well as his own candidacy on the platform of the Labour Party. He maintained that having like-minded leaders at the federal level, working together in lawmaking and policy implementation, would position Nigeria and its constituent states for accelerated economic development.
Biose urged the people to look beyond the established political blocs and support candidates with proven credibility and the capacity to deliver meaningful representation.
He reaffirmed his allegiance to the Obidient Movement, stating that he had identified with the movement from its inception and had remained committed to supporting Peter Obi’s aspiration to lead Nigeria.
According to him, those who share the same ideology should also contribute to the transformation of the country through effective representation in the parliament.
Biose’s growing influence in Delta North politics over the past year, since he declared his intention to contest for the Senate, is said to have unsettled elements within the camp of established political actors, amid concerns that his emergence could disrupt the existing political structures ahead of the election.
