Youths in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State have thrown their weight behind the re-election bids of Hon. Blessing Achoja and Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suene ahead of the 2027 general elections, urging constituents to unite and support the lawmakers to continue their developmental efforts.
The endorsement was made under the platform of For the Love of Ethiope West Ambassadors during the group’s general meeting held on March 8, 2026 in Mosogar, where members deliberated on strategies to strengthen the organization as the next election cycle approaches.
Speaking at the meeting, the National President of the organization, Dr. Isiah Okeoghene, said the decision to support the two lawmakers for a second term was based on their commitment and visible contributions to the development of Ethiope West and the broader federal constituency.
According to him, despite being first-time lawmakers at the Delta State House of Assembly and the House of Representatives respectively, both Achoja and Ibori-Suene have demonstrated strong leadership and dedication to the welfare of their constituents.
However, Dr. Okeoghene particularly commended Hon. Blessing Achoja for his empowerment programmes, noting that many youths across the constituency have benefitted from various initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and promoting self-reliance.
He also praised the performance of Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suene at the National Assembly, describing her legislative contributions and constituency engagements as outstanding and worthy of continued support from the people of Ethiope Federal Constituency.
“I want to urge the good people of Ethiope West to support our son and daughter who are representing us at the Delta State House of Assembly and the House of Representatives,” he said, adding that their achievements so far justify another opportunity to serve.
Similarly, the group also called on residents to shun divisive tendencies and the “pull-him-down syndrome,” stressing that unity and collaboration among stakeholders would accelerate development within the constituency.
The meeting concluded with members passing a vote of explicit confidence on Hon. Blessing Achoja and Rt. Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suene, reaffirming their commitment to mobilize grassroots support for their re-election in the 2027 general elections.
