The Honourable Member representing Warri North Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Alfred Martins, has commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for convening the forthcoming Delta State Economic Summit, describing the initiative as a bold, strategic and timely intervention that will deepen economic growth and unlock new opportunities for sustainable development across the state.
Hon. Martins stated that the summit reflects Governor Oborevwori’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to building a resilient and diversified economy capable of meeting the aspirations of present and future generations. He noted that at a time when economies around the world are evolving through innovation, investment and strategic partnerships, Delta State is taking the right step by creating a platform that will shape its economic future.
According to the lawmaker, the summit is expected to attract renowned economists, policymakers, investors, captains of industry, development partners, entrepreneurs, members of the diplomatic community and other distinguished participants from across Nigeria and different parts of the world. He said their wealth of experience and expertise will enrich discussions and generate practical solutions for the state’s long-term economic advancement.
He further observed that the summit will serve as an avenue to showcase Delta State’s vast investment potential in critical sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, energy, technology, tourism, the blue economy and infrastructure. Hon.
