The Office of the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly is delighted to announce that Rt. Hon. (Olorogun) Arthur Akpowowo Esq, Deputy Speaker of the 8th Assembly, has been honoured with a Certificate of Recognition by the Urhobo Studies Association, Delta State University, Abraka, during their 20th Anniversary Institutional Celebration held on Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025.
This honour comes barely a week after the Deputy Speaker received another prestigious award, as the Most Outstanding Lawmaker of the Year from the organizers of the Delta Icons of Goodwill Award, further underscoring his unwavering commitment to leadership, education, and community development.
The recognition by the Urhobo Studies Association is a clear testament to the Deputy Speaker’s consistent support for knowledge, culture, and institutions that promote the advancement of society.
