President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a major shake-up at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) with the appointment of Rotimi Richard Pedro as the new Director-General.
Pedro replaces the outgoing leadership as part of the administration’s plan to modernise and reposition the state broadcaster.
Alongside his appointment, the President also approved the naming of new executive directors, including:
Karimah Bello – Executive Director, Marketing
Stella Din – Executive Director, News
Sophia Issa Mohammed – Managing Director, NTA Enterprises Ltd.
According to the Presidency, the restructuring is aimed at strengthening NTA’s competitiveness in Nigeria’s fast-changing media landscape and ensuring it delivers world-class broadcasting services.
The appointments take immediate effect.
