The leadership of the National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSTU) has extended heartfelt commendation to the Commissioner for Urban Renewal, Engr Michael Anoka, FNSE, for the recent announcement regarding the implementation of free registration for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for 400 students, as well as free registration for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) for 100 students through the Micheal Anoka Foundation (MAF).

In a statement by the National President, Comr Wiska Monday Oghenevwairhe, he said, “This initiative represents a significant step towards making education more accessible for students and would alleviate the financial burden associated with these critical examinations, the Commissioner is not only empowering students but also promoting equal opportunities for academic advancement”.

“On behalf of the over 3.1M students of Delta State, we applaud this generous gesture and recognize the importance of supporting students during this crucial phase of their academic journey. Many families face economic challenges that can hinder their children’s educational aspirations, and this initiative will undoubtedly provide much-needed relief and encouragement”.

“I want to also use this medium to encourage other stakeholder in various sector to emulate this commendable effort and consider additional support mechanisms that can further enhance educational access and equity. Together, we can create an enabling environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential”. Wiska added.
