Ekedayen, Honourable Commissioner for Economic Planning, Delta State, extends warm felicitations to all workers across the state and the nation at large on the occasion of International Workers’ Day. In his message, the Honourable Commissioner commended the dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment of Delta State’s workforce, describing them as the heartbeat of the state’s progress. He noted that despite economic challenges, workers have continued to contribute their quota with diligence and patriotic fervour.
Mr. Ekedayen reiterated the commitment of the Delta State Government to the welfare and empowerment of workers through policies that promote decent work, economic inclusion, and sustainable development. He emphasized that the Ministry of Economic Planning will continue to work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure that workers benefit from strategic planning and economic reforms.
He also called on all workers to remain steadfast and hopeful, assuring them that their efforts are not in vain. According to him, every hand that labours in honesty and diligence plays a part in shaping a better and brighter Delta State.
