The Erhuvwu Club of Nigeria, Asaba celebrated its 2024 end-of-year party with a special honour for Smart Edoge Esq, on his appointment as Deputy Clerk Admin of the Delta State House of Assembly.
The event, which was held at the VIP lounge of the Stephen Keshi International Stadium on Sunday 2nd March, 2025, saw the Club recognize Barr. Edoge’s dedication to public service and his new leadership role within the state legislature.
The award, presented amidst a festive atmosphere, was a testament to the club’s commitment to recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to the Club and the public at large.
Barr. Edoge, a prominent figure in the legal profession and a respected member of the Erhuvwu Club, was commended for his unwavering commitment to serving the people of Delta State.
The Erhuvwu Club, known for its active role in fostering community development, has consistently demonstrated its support for individuals who have dedicated their careers to public service.
The award presented to Barr. Edoge serves as a symbol of the Club’s appreciation for his contributions and a testament to the organization’s commitment to recognizing excellence and leadership within the Club.
The event, which was well attended by notable members of the Club, including the Club’s President, Sir. David Onokpe, Rtd PS and former Head of Service, Sir Paul Evuarherhe, showcases the achievements of individuals like Barr. Edoge, who has played a vital role in shaping the Public Service. Others awardees were Chief Abel Esievo, Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Mr. Festus Ohwojero, Director General of the Delta State Sports Commission, Prof Kingsley Mrabure, law lecturer at the Delta State University, Oleh Campus, Mr Graham Osakwe, Secretary, Uvwie Local Government Area amongst others.
Responding, Barr. Smart Edoge expressed his deep gratitude to the Erhuvwu Club for recognizing his contributions and finding him worthy of this honour. He highlighted the Club’s significant role in fostering community development and commended the leadership and Club members for recognizing individuals who have dedicated their careers to public service.
He also extended his sincere appreciation to the leadership of the Delta State House of Assembly, led by Rt. Hon. Guwor Emomotimi Dennis, for his appointment as Deputy Clerk Admin. He expressed his commitment to serving diligently in his new role and contributing positively to the smooth functioning of the legislative arm of government.
He also commended the Clerk of the House, Barr Otto Aghoghophia for his wonderful support and encouragement in the discharge of his duties as the Deputy Clerk Admin of the State Assembly .
