In a significant move to boost education and community development in Ndokwa East LGA, the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, has flagged off the construction of an Assembly Hall at Oduga Secondary School, Ushie.
Dr. Charles Olisa, Member representing Ndokwa ethnic nationality on the Governing Board of DESOPADEC yesterday 25th March, 2025 performed the ceremonial groundbreaking event, marking the commencement of the project, during which time he instructed the contractor to ensure timely completion of the project and strict adherence to the Bills of Engineering Measurements (BEME) issued by the Commission.
The enthusiastic Principal of Oduga Secondary School, Mrs. Esther Ugbeh commended the project, stating that it will be extremely useful as it will assist the school in their academic processes upon completion, just as a Community Leader from Ushie community, Hon. Victor Ezie and the entire Ushie Community expressed their gratitude to DESOPADEC for responding to the yearnings of communities within the State’s interventionist mandate areas.
This project is part of DESOPADEC’s commitment to deliver significant and meaningful projects that align with the State Government’s “More Agenda” mantra, led by Delta State Governor Elder Sheriff Oborevwori. Under the leadership of Olorogun Barr. John Nani, Board Chairman and Chief Festus Ochonogor, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, DESOPADEC remains dedicated to serving the people of Ndokwa ethnic nationality and the entire Delta State.
