The Delta State Sports Commission has issued a statement, commending His Excellency Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, Governor of Delta State, on his recent accolade as Vanguard Newspaper’s “Governor of the Year 2024.”
According to a statement signed by The Sports Commission Executive Chairman, Hon. Onoriode Oborevwori, expressed pride in the Governor’s achievements and his dedication to the state’s development.
“Your Excellency Sir, the MORE AGENDA is visible to all Deltans and even Mr President called you a progressive Governor,” the statement read. “We at the Sports Commission are particularly grateful for your dedication to infrastructural and human capital development, especially in the area of sports across Delta State.”
The Commission Chairman , highlighted the Governor’s commitment to fostering a thriving sports environment in the state, noting that Deltans are proud to have him as their leader. The award, according to the Sports Commission Chairman, is a testament to the Governor’s impactful leadership and his dedication to the well-being and progress of the state.
“We want to use this medium to appreciate you for the infrastructural and human capital development more especially in the area of sports across the Delta State,” the statement concluded. “Once again, congratulations sir. We at the Delta State Sports Commission are proud to stand with you in celebrating this well-deserved recognition.”
