Asaba, Delta State – The Commissioner for Environment in Delta State, Mr Jamani Tommy Ejiro has expressed satisfaction with the high level of compliance demonstrated by residents during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise held on Saturday 25th January 2025

The Commissioner, who monitored the exercise in Asaba the state capital and Ibusa both in Oshimili South and North Local Government Areas, commended the residents for their cooperation and commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
“I am delighted to see that our people are taking ownership of their environment and taking steps to keep it clean,” the Commissioner said. “This level of compliance is a testament to the success of our efforts to create awareness about the importance of environmental sanitation.”
The Commissioner also praised the efforts of the local govt Chairmen, Chief Obi Kelvin Ezenyili, Hon. Innocent Esewezie, department of sanitation, community leaders, and other stakeholders who worked tirelessly to mobilize residents and ensure a successful exercise.
While acknowledging that there is still room for improvement, Mr Jamani expressed optimism that the state will continue to make progress in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment.
“We will continue to work with our people to ensure that our environment remains clean and healthy,” Mr Jamani said. “I urge all residents to continue to cooperate with us and take ownership of their environment.” The statement added
