Delta State has been thrown into mourning following the gruesome killing of the Special Adviser to the State governor on Trade and Export, Chief Mrs. Shimite Bello, at the early hours of Easter day.
The Bjlinks News finding revealed that she was allegedly poisoned by her husband, Pastor David Favour Love during a minor quarrel.
Sources said she was immediately rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital, Asaba, where she was confirmed dead after efforts of medical personnel to save her failed.
According to one of the family members who spoke on the conditions of anonymity, late Shimite was in good health when I spoke with her a day before she died.
“I spoke with her for over an hour on Saturday. Nothing was wrong with her. On Sunday, I sent her Easter messages, but she didn’t reply, which was unusual.”
The family source further revealed that Shimite’s maid called her elder brother, informing him that the husband had locked Shimite in the house since morning.
